POTTY TRAINING!!!

well our life has gotten more complicated with a potty training kid. he was so ready for this transition, but man it takes a lot more words out of my mouth and energy that's for sure. the idea of being "potty trained" is a little slanted. he is more like 60-40 potty trained since he wears pull-ups at naps and at bedtime. Today was a successful no accident completely. I'll take small victories and just hope for the best tomorrow. He's a big boy and loves wearing the assortment of disney characters on his hiney :)

and so it begins...big boy underwear on

Cooper reading to Brooks, this was such a sweet little moment to watch

Uncle Luke came up to play in a golf tour so he came over to play on Friday and then nana and joe joe came sat. to watch Luke and play with the boys

sunday, KK flew home from up here so we got to spend all afternoon with her. she is so good at loving our boys!

Cooper is 2!!!

We had Cooper's 2nd birthday party a couple of week's ago and it was a blast. Having a summer birthday is awesome-lots of wet activities outside and these kids are so happy! We had a Disney Cars theme-more precisely a "tractor tipping" theme. Cooper had so much fun and it is such a joy to see him really enjoy his friends. He kept saying "my birthday party" and telling people he was "2". He wanted to eat his cake before a hotdog and enjoyed opening gifts this year. I think for Christmas I'm going to just get him lots of things to open-he loves the opening process!

and our lively little guy is 2! Such a fun weekend. We started it friday with tons of help from my parents to get ready for the party and a little family swim party at the club with La Huerta-so fun. maybe a new tradition :) Now, this weekend we are POTTY TRAINING! I believe Cooper is so ready-I am so not, but here we go!

Baby Brooks is 2 months old!

this little fella is closer to 3 months at this point, but I'm trying so hard to just stay on top of as much as I can-it's crazy around!

Brooks is such a delight and a wonderful baby. He has a sweet, calm, peaceful presence about him that I hope he continues to have. This month he measured 95th for length and 90th for weight, I can tell he is so much bigger. I get anxious at how fast life seems to go watching him grow these past 2 months already. He is wearing 3-6 month to help with length, wearing size 2 diapers, goes 3 1/2-4 hours between feedings, crashes every night at 8 and I won't hear from till 3-4 typically. He goes just everywhere without a fuss unless he gets hungry. He has transitioned this month back to work with me and is doing great up the clinic. Brooks loves talking to us and my gosh his grin is gorgeous. Cooper still is learning to be gentle, but loves him so much. Tonight Brooks started to fuss a bit and I come around the corner to find Cooper holding a bottle to his mouth and telling me, "Crooks eat momma". My heart is completely full being their momma and living life with them-thank you Lord for this journey!

4th of July 2013

Since we had just gotten home and I just finished my 1st week back to work, we decided to stay here for the 4th. We woke up that morning and headed to the pool and had such a wonderful day as a family. we came home for a rest and then went back to watch fireworks. Both boys' 1st fireworks show and they did good. Not a sound from Brooks and Cooper has just not sure. He was crying, clapping, yelling, cheering, it was too funny watching him watch the "pretty fire"
waiting on fireworks

 Cute pic with Cooper
but let's be honest, most look like this...
playing paper dolls with Channing as we wait-whatever keeps him occupied!
looks like Cooper is about to choke Brooks, but he was saying "pat-pat", it's his gentle touch :)
and I know there is a shadow, but this little fella turned 2 months today and his grin is one to melt my heart completely. I'm so smitten with him. He is such a good little baby and tolerates so many bumps and bruises already from big brother. I have enjoyed his little bitty baby season so much and feel like this month just launches him into constant changes-so thankful God picked us to have him in our family.

Destin Trip 2013

A couple of weeks ago we went to Destin with our Wright family-our annual trip and it was a blast! We got to fly and both boys did awesome, I'm so thankful for good little travelers. Our 1st place to eat out was Cafe 30A and it was yummy. Then we spent the evening playing in seaside, I love this little town!

keepin it real-I had a delicious lobster staring at me at this point and had to wait

beach fun in the kid pool till the last 2 days and we couldn't keep him out of the ocean "big wave"
little man hung out inside, he is such a sweet little guy
Cooper's 1st putt-putt experience! Pops, KK, Dad and Coop all went
 i love their matching swimsuits

KK had a chat going all week: "Where are we going?" she would say and Coop would always respond, "to the beach"-sweet sweet memory. he had so much fun with KK!
wonderful grandparents! So thankful my boys have them
 4 generations of Wright men!
