We LOVE those Diamond Hogs!

One perk that brightens my husband's heart so much about living in Fayetteville, Ar. is his ability to make "our" time-"game"time. We love going to sporting events and have truly enjoyed this year's baseball season. The Hogs are really good and we love to go watch. We went early Tuesday afternoon to get a grill for a night spent with Justin and Lauren Davis at the baseball game. It ended up being a real good game. The Hogs won in the bottom of the 10th! We though left in the 6th inning, it was chilly.

**Also, I have to brag about my husband and his friend Michael Gaddy. My car needed a new thermostat and they FIXED it! Really! It's all working and my engine light has disappeared, I'm so proud of them. Bummed I didn't get any photos of this great event!
Mr. and Mrs. Wright- I love it!
The ducks wanted to grill out too!
Yes, we got there THAT early, the gate is still closed! Marietta, look at the HOTT bag! Thanks.

A Girls' Weekend!

This weekend I had 6 of my best friends come up to stay at our home for a GIRLS' WEEKEND! They all arrived Friday and we ate at Loafin Joe's, our favorite sandwich shop up here, and then stayed up till 2:00A.M. I know SHOCKING! We had the best time chatting and catching up and just being silly, it truly was like we haven't missed a beat and I LOVED that!

Sat. we woke up and went looking for our names. We all graduated in 2007 and the University has the tradition of writing your name on the sidewalk. None of us had been to see so we went and found them, that was fun. We then popped over to the KKG House, a place of dear memories to us all. We got to see all the changes and just laugh about all of our memories. We really did have a lot of fun in that season of our lives. We spent the afternoon shopping and having our personal make-up artist, Anne, do all of our make-up at Sephora, we all felt lovely. That evening we ventured out to a new place called: Savor. Afterwards we headed to the Wine Cellar and spent the evening trying wine and just talking. But that did not end our fun, we came back to the "Wright Party Palace" and had our very own DANCE PARTY!!!!!

I hated to say goodbye to them all, but we do hope to start a new tradition. I'm blessed to have each of these women in my life and am so thankful for each of their friendships and roles they play in my life.

I know you might be thinking, Jordan-where did he go???? Our sweet friends the Gaddys, let him camp out with them all weekend. He worked all weekend and then spent the nights having fun with some buddies. So we both had some good ole friend time, it was great.
Here is MY name....
well, my old name :)
The crew on campus again, that's Old Main behind us.
I drew this out of fun my Junior year of college and it's still there in the Butler's Pantry, it's my contribution to the KKG House!
We still got our sorority pose! How many photos we took in this exact spot, 100's!

Celebration of our KING!!!!

Jordan and I had a wonderful weekend of celebration to our King! We are thankful for a God who gave His son so that He may allow us to enter His Kingdom. We desire to be people who give Him glory daily and live a life that He sees as good and faithful.

Yesterday, I got to spend the day with my dear friend Amy Gaddy. We made easter sugar cookies and had a blast making them. They were yummy but our decorating technique needs to improve for sure!

Today, we got to celebrate Easter with our friends the Billings. Sarah and Stephen came over for lamb and spent part of the afternoon with us. They are such sweet friends and we love them dearly. They will be moving soon to Lawrence, Kansas and we will miss them so much.

I LOVE this Holiday. It allows me time to renew my mind and spirit towards Christ and realize how thankful I am that this is not my home. That by my receiving Him as King and his death wiping my sins away, allows me to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. You can have this relationship too! He desires for us all to accept His son Jesus Christ and live a life that lives sacrificially for Him. I pray that you know Jesus and the love, forgiveness, and hope that come from Him daily.

Happy Easter, Love Jordan and Amber!

Jordan's attempt to make tea, he burnt the little tab and it smelt awful!
My cucumbers and vinegar with homemade mint sauce-go me!

1st Domestic Dispute...

That's right...I have officially had my first domestic dispute with a KNIFE!!!! I knew this day would come as a wife and it came in full force :( I was slicing a baked potato for Jordan and slit my thumb wide opened. I felt so bad for Jordan! I went straight into to tears, panic, and a thumb full of gushing blood. Jordan quickly calmed me down and grabbed a band-aid to be my paramedic. It took it forever to stop, but it did with minutes of my thumb being held above my head. Jordan continues to change my band-aid and check on my thumb. This happened on Monday so it's been healing since so that's good. (no photo for those with weak stomachs)

We spent the evening last night at the Razorback baseball game and that was great, cold, but great! We hope you all enjoyed this BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!!! We hope that you have some time to sit and praise God for His son and us being able to celebrate Easter and the peace of knowing this is not our home. We pray blessings over you all! The Wrights!

A Day with a dear friend and her BABY!!!!

I got to wake up and go visit my sweet friend Erin Conner who is pregnant with the baby due Novemeber 27th!!! I'm so excited for them and just so glad to get to pray, nurture, and love on this family and baby through this season. They are amazing people and will do wonderful raising this child with God's provision and love. I had the best time with Erin. We ate lunch at this adorable Tea Room and then spent part of the afternoon at the outlet mall. She then took me to this quiet, peaceful stream where we just got to sit and talk. It was AMAZING! I miss her so much and just her transparent heart and willingness to listen.

We also on Friday got to spend time with Kyle (Jordan's roommate from India) and his girlfriend, Kara. They are so cute and SO much fun! We ate sushi and had such fun conversation.

Our weekend was wonderful and now we have started this week with both doing our workouts, trying to stay fit and will enjoy tonight's NCAA Championship game, not sure who is in it, my bracket lost a long time ago :) oh well!

Just look and imagine the noise....it's peaceful
Here is where we just sat...
We look SO similar except our hair color.

And some homework and some rain

I (Amber) sit here on my couch trying so hard to convince myself to do my homework. It's a chilly, rainy day-I get no breaks here sun :( My mind fills with thoughts about how I'm almost done with graduate school, LESS than a month till my days of school are OVER! I wonder if I'll miss this dreadful weight that has been carried since I was 5 called school or if I'll just feel so lost due to how we are so trained to master schooling? All I've done for most of my days is school and now they expect me to be this great employer. Lots of people do this I know, but I'm really starting to find it all interesting in this change of season for me and shortly after Jordan. The transition will be good as I'm continuing to work for the nursing home I'm at right now, so I'm blessed by that. We are very excited to close the door of school and allow our time to be filled by God in how He sees fit. We have a great God who continues to show us provision and grace in how he details out the pathway of our life. Hope the week is going great for you! We have a fun weekend ahead, but for now I must morph into a student and let myself do my homework that is due tomorrow. Tah Tah!
