My New Rug

This is our new rug in the entry hallway into our home. I love it and think it goes great! Now I'd like to find something to put on the wall to the left here, but not sure what just yet?

We had a great weekend with my mom and dad, I'm so glad they got to come up for a visit, it was wonderful having them here. We also went and played putt-putt golf with Kyle and Kara and I made a HOLE IN ONE! I've NEVER done that before, it was a moment! The weather was gorgeous, I wish it would stay forever or least for all of football season!

Happy Week to You!

Julie and Julia/Cafe Rue Orleans

Last night Jordan planned for us to have a date and it was lovely. We have had a busy week so it was nice to spend some time together. We went to see Julie and Julia which I LOVED! I think everyone should see it. I never got bored with and found it a little inspiring for this non-cook who truly thinks life is just too busy to work and cook, I still can't master this...maybe some day? Then in light of the movie having a "french" flare Jordan wanted us to eat at a "french" restaurant, but the closest thing he could come up with was Cafe Rue Orleans, it was okay with giant portions so we left with 3 to-go boxes, food all week! Again, no cooking for me :) Afterwards we shared the TV between Project Runway and the 1st Dallas Cowboy Pre-Season game, which showed off their new stadium.

It was a fun night and now I'm at work, due to the fact that I was off last Monday. My mom and dad will be up here around lunch time to eat with us and spend the afternoon. I'm really excited to see them and to show my dad our home, he still hasn't seen it. I ask you to pray for Jordan a job, he is working so hard to find a job since he recently graduated and we are waiting patiently for God to open the perfect door for and for us. Thank you! Have a great weekend!!!

Oh our cake and yummy food!

As ritual to all married couples, we ate our amazing cake on our anniversary. It was still really yummy but the icing was so sweet it was hard to eat a lot of it, which I guess isn't a bad thing, ha! I had even gotten us a "1" candle to blowout and to wish luck and happiness on this 2nd year. We then went to eat at Ermilio's which is great Italian food and we got to spend some time playing Gin and just hanging out before supper. Our 1st anniversary was great and lots of fun!

Our lovely little cottage!

Here are some photos from our lovely cabin from our anniversary trip. This place was AMAZING and I'd tell anyone that this is a must for a low key getaway weekend. The breakfast is a 3 course meal, which was amazing, I mean so so so good! We loved it! We just relaxed in the garden area and took little strolls around the cottage, it was great and I think you all should go!

SILVER DOLLAR CITY!!!!

Here are some photos from our lovely day at Silver Dollar City. We had a blast just acting like kids all day!

on the tram, I think this is the best part of any park!
Here we go....
My old name, showing some respect!
At the entrance to "FIRE IN THE HOLE" for all of you lovers of this ride, this is for you!
Jordan played in this "kid" part of SDC for the longest time, he had the best time soaking kids with water.
Into the deep dark cave we go! Jordan conquered a childhood fear, go Jordan!
It's real dark, because we are really far from the sun :)
This guy wrote "Shepard of the Hills" book and slept within this cave, his last name was Wright, I'm sure we are related!
In the cave!
We had a great time here and ate loads and loads of yummy food, it was such a fun day! Happy Anniversary to us!

Celebration of the greatest year of our lives!!!!

Jordan and I have had a wonderful, fun, growing, and never lacking in excitement 1st of year of marriage. It's been great walking through life with this man and us just trying to find our path together. We had a blast taking some time to laugh together and rest together this past weekend. We pondered on all the funny, good and bad times, we had them both, yep! We are learning and will continue in the year's ahead to learn more and more as it goes on, I love this man and am so thankful for our time together this past weekend, we really did have a blast!

Here are some gorgeous flowers from Tyrone and Julie, my relatives from England who came to our wedding last year, we miss them and can't wait to get across for a visit!
We got these 4 items that were worth $640.00 for only $120.00, we couldn't believe it and the money went to support Peaceful Families a center up here.
Our fun day at Silver Dollar City, more photos to come. We had a great time riding and filling our bellies with food.
We then went to Eureka Springs to stay 2 nights at these adorable cottages. I loved this place! It was lovely and reminded me of England. We had great breakfasts and just lounged around in the gardens and went on walks around Eureka it was great!
Here's our 1 year cake, it was tasty and really sweet!
Here we are at Ermelio's, where we ate on our Anniversary. We had a wait so we played our favorite game, Gin and I won :)
We this cute little white box was on the alarm when I woke up on our anniversary. Jordan got me DIAMOND EARRINGS!!!!! I couldn't believe and just freaked out when I saw them. Oh How I love my mornings...

I have taken off today, tomorrow and Monday for some rest and to celebrate our
1st WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!!!!
This morning I woke up at 630, but man it felt good! I think that's a sad stage in my life, haha. But I woke up and went and got a starbucks and enjoyed this lovely morning weather. And now I'm sitting on my couch watching Good Morning America and waiting for Regis and Kelly. I'm so excited to have this day to rest and piddle around my home.

We leave tomorrow to go to Silver Dollar City for part of our wedding anniversary getaway! I've never been and it's been ages since Jordan has so we thought this would be fun before we spend a couple of nights at a Bed and Breakfast in Eureka Springs called The Cottages. I'm really excited to get a way and have some fun with my husband. I can't believe it's been a year already, it has been a year of laughter, new memories, growth and greater amounts of love for one another than thought possible. I'm excited and thankful to spend the rest of my life with this man!!!!

Neiman Marcus Cookie Recipe!!! Read this Story...

When decent people get screwed over, this is the result!
A little background: Neiman-Marcus, if you don't knowalready, is a very expensive store; they sell your typical$8.00 T-shirt for $50.00.

Let's let them have it! THIS IS A TRUE STORY !
My daughter and I had just finished a salad at aNeiman-Marcus Cafe In Dallas , and we decided to have asmall dessert. Because both of us are such cookie lovers, wedecided to try the 'Neiman-Marcus cookie.' It was Soexcellent that I asked if they would give me the recipe, andthe waitress said with a small frown, 'I'm afraid not, butyou can buy The Recipe.' Well, I asked how much, and sheres ponded, ' Only two fifty - it's a Great deal!' I agreedto that, and told her to just add it to my Tab.

Thirty days later, I received my VISA statement, and theNeiman-Marcus Charge was $285.00!
I looked again, and I remembered I had only spent $9.95 fortwo salads and about $20.00 for a scarf. As I glanced at thebottom of the statement, it said, 'Cookie Recipe-$250.00.'That was outrageous! I called Neiman's Accounting Departmentand told them the waitress said it was 'two-fifty', whichclearly does not mean 'two hundred and fifty dollars' by anyreasonable interpretation of the phrase.

Neiman-Marcus refused to budge. They would not refund mymoney because, according to them, 'What the waitress toldyou is not our problem. You have already seen the Recipe. Weabsolutely will not refund your money at this point.'

I explained to the Accounting Department lady the criminalstatutes which govern fraud in the State of Texas . Ithreatened to report them to the Better Business Bureau andthe Texas Attorney General's office for engaging in fraud. Iwas basically told, 'Do what you want. Don't bother thinkingof how you can get even, and don't bother trying to get anyof your money back.' I just said, Okay, you folks got my$250, and now I'm going to have $250 worth of fun. I toldher that I was going to see to it that every Cookie Lover inthe Unite d States with an e-mail account has a $250 cookierecipe from Neiman-Marcus...for free. She replied, 'I wishyou wouldn't do this.' I said, 'Well, perhaps you shouldhave thought of that before you ripped me off and slammeddown the phone.

So here it is!
Please, please, please pass it on to everyone you canpossibly think of. I paid $250 for this, and I don't wantNeiman-M arcus to EVER make another penny off of this recipe!
