Today...

The joy of working only 3 days a week makes for a wonderful feeling on your 4 days at home to play! Yesterday, I slaved away to get Christmas put up and the house, laundry, dishes and such all back in order. Today, I have played all day with Cooper, received texts all morning to rejoice with my friend Megan who had her baby boy Maddox this morning, opened my Cricut, ran to Hobby Lobby to get stuff to try my Cricut out in a SHORT SLEEVED SHIRT, Jordan has been smoking ribs, and we have no plans tonight. This is a wonderful day to me! If you are a pro-cricuter, I'd take all tips! :)

1st Christmas Recap II

CHRISTMAS DAY! We opened gifts and at delicious cinnamon rolls before heading to church. We then ate a wonderful lunch with family and friends. That evening we hung out and crashed early!
Pat made cooper a gorgeous stocking!

Jordan's big gift was the big green egg, he loves this so much!

Jordan used one of his gifts from my parents and fried a turkey. It was delicious!

Cooper did so great playing with everyone and staying up, he just crashed every time it was nap time.
The day after Christmas we all went to the Painted Pig and made a frame for Cooper's 1st Christmas. Fun activity to do together.
The Wrights came up after Christmas and hung out which was so fun. They loved on Cooper, cooked yummy food, and helped take down Christmas decor. The house is now all back together and we are looking forward to our Big D trip to the Cotton Bowl!

1st Christmas Recap!

We went down Wednesday after work to central arkansas to begin our Christmas celebration. Here we are at supper on the 23rd. We ate and then carried on our family tradition of watching White Christmas, my favorite Christmas movie!
It's a tradition my grandmother started by giving all the men US coins every year. Here is Cooper with his 1st gift from my mom, who now carries on the tradition, with his 1st set of coins.
 playing with his toys!

lots of playing with Uncle Luke.

We all got dressed up to go to a Christmas Eve service at my parents' church which I love. We sadly had to leave early because our little bomb went off :( We went back to my parents house and fed him his supper before heading to little rock. I thought I'd wait to nurse till we get to little rock and put him to bed from there. Well, Cooper thought otherwise. He screamed all the way to Maumelle, we pull over in the Waffle House parking lot to nurse, change diaper in front seat and head on to the Wright's house. We were laughing so hard and just kept saying, "we are creating memories".
Here we are with my uncle Alvin and aunt Patsy
I love my little brother so much! Great guy!!! I hope Cooper learns so much from him.
Every year we search for the "pickle" on the tree and whoever finds it, wins an extra gift. This year due to us forgetting Christmas Eve morning, we were rushed to get Cooper settled and to little rock so mom hid it right in front and Luke was declared the winner. I'm sure next year Cooper will want his fair share in finding it!
We had such a great time in Conway. We both got to visit with some friends and relax. Next up, Christmas Day Wright Style!

"Our 1st Christmas Morning"

With such a busy week ahead we decided that as our family of 4 :), Mello included, we would have our Christmas morning this morning.
Last night Cooper set out cookies for Santa :)
This morning we got up at 8 and let him see his goodies from Santa and then open a few gifts from us. It was a lot of fun! We ate some cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then got all dressed and headed to church.
Here are some fun photos from our morning:
He received a jumper, a towel, blocks and books from Santa. Even mello received a stocking full of Puperonis and was so happy!

 Early morning photos.

Luke's Graduation

My brother graduated from college this weekend with a degree in Business and Administration in Accounting. He has worked so hard these past 4 1/2 years and we are all so proud of him! We had great visits with family and dear friends at a post celebration for him.

cooper slept for the first bit and then watched most of graduation.

when not watching, he played on Nana's lap

Cooper with Bobo and Grandma Pat, Mello was jealous everyone wanted photos with Cooper so he tried so hard to get in their pic.
We had a wonderful trip down to Conway!

*** Change the Diaper! Cooper has been sleeping all night for quite sometime now and starting Wednesday night he was getting up in the middle of night and not really hungry but upset. He wanted his diaper changed and then mad he was woken up. This was all due to the fact that he needed a bigger diaper to go all night long. Sadly, we are now in size 3's but he slept like a baby all night again :) Can't believe he is just getting so big, we have so much fun with him!!!!

My 5 month memories!

Cooper is such a delight to us. He is such a happy, content, and busy little baby. His laughs and smiles are contagious. He loves his toys and has really found mello this month and just smiles at him all the time.
He has found his feet this month, rolled belly to back, and increased all his facial expressions. I love watching his little personality continue to hatch. He went to his 1st church nursery and 1st party without us this month.
He nurses 5:30-6 in the morning and then goes right back to his crib till around 7:30. He eats every 3 hours, maybe 4. He typically takes 2 long naps (1 in the morning-1 in the afternoon) then a quick power nap late afternoon. He gets cereal around 6-6:30 and nurses an hour later and off to bed. This month, once we added cereal, he dropped his dream feed at 10. He hardly makes a peep all day unless we have a gas bubble, then it's on and he's mad!
His cereal is 2tbsp cereal, 2 ounces of warmed breast milk, and  2 tsp. of applesauce warmed. We will start trying all the foods and see how that goes!
He got to meet his great-grandpa on his pop's side.
He is wearing size 2 diapers. 6-9 months clothes. He weights 17 lbs from my scale at home.
He does great with me at work and really enjoys all his friends!
Everything is easy now with him, nursing is great, our schedule is great, our sleeping patterns are great, he is doing wonderful. I know in the next months ahead things are about to drastically change with him rolling, sitting and starting to move so I'm enjoying this season as much as possible.
We are looking forward to all the fun of celebrating our 1st Christmas with our son!!!

Santa is coming to town!

Friday, Cooper got his chance to meet Santa Claus! He did great just sitting there and looking at him. No crying, just curiosity! We left that afternoon for a wonderful weekend in Branson with our community group. We had so much fun chatting, shopping, playing games and eating!!! Such a great group of friends and I love that we make this trip happen every year!!!
