Snow day #2

We decided to venture out and go see a movie on this snow day. Here is our homeib snow, I've never been mire thankful for a garage!!!!



We decided to see When in Rome. Cute, predictable, easy to enjoy romantic comedy.


Before the movie we ate at jasons, yummy!!



This movie is coming soon, it has a funny cast, you might even know one of them, haha!!!




And I can't wait to see this!!!! It excites me bc by the time this comes out we will be in our home!!!



And every other moment of free i was reading. I can't put these books down and am so sad work will be in my way if my all day routine of reading tomorrow :)

Snow day #1

Our snow day setup!!! Worked out great, good idea Jordan!



Mello would run outside for a bark and play in the snow and then come an stare at the electolog, eveytime. It was so funny!

Thanks to my bff Meg, she mailed me the first 2 books of the Twilight series and I finished the first book in a day and half. I'm starting book 2 today to entertain me on snow day #2!


This book was way better than the movie. I'm not a big reader, even though I try to be, and I couldn't put this book down and I knew the ending already!

Healthy pork supper

Yep, I cook now and then :) as of late it's been healthy food too! Pork is one of the leanest meats and this yummy dinner is only 245 cals.

Well some fun news from us, I have been given the Director of Rehab job at the Maples!!!! I'm overwhelmed and humbled to be offered this position. It's going to be crazy at times but I know the benefits of all the information I'm about to learn, so here goes nothing!!!!!

What a surprise!!!!

So in sept I think, Marietta and I refinished the bottom of my kitchen table. And since then I've been saying how I need to redo the top dark brown. Well, today Jordan surprised me ad bought all the stuff for us to work on it this weekend togther!!! I'm so excited to work hard and get this project taken cared of!!!

Control vs uncontrol

In my, even our, lives I feel like we have and are walking in a new control of having daily time w our Lord, working out and eating healthy. I wake up daily at 5:00 am to have a workout and time with God. It's the only time I truly can call mine w NO interruptions. I feel like we are on a good foot forward and I hope it will continue. We are buildings home and we feel so much peace and excitement as this process moves forward! Life seems in control till today at work I was dealt with a new level of uncontrol.

One of my patients fell out of their wheelchair while on my watch. I was wrapping up feeding a pt and this lady leaned from her chair and fell on the floor. Praise the Lord she was ok with no hurt to herself but the feeling of not watching close enough or being able to help her was hard for me swallow. She is such a sweet woman and Im here to help her and she got hurt.

I look towards thankfulness that she is ok and look on as a therapist to protect my pts as much as I can. I love my job soooo much and feel a new level of care to them all.

It amazes me how quickly life can flip around. I I strive to keep a healthy balance in life, and all day i have been so flustered! I am learning to forgive myself in uncontrollable situations, which is a key component! Our Lord forgives all and we too must show ourselves the grace to accept forgiveness.

Home sweet home!

We have been blessed to have the chance to build a home!!!! We are working with a wonderful builder ad are so thankful for God's provision in placing us in his path for our new home. He has allowed us o have input on the plan! My favorite aspect is a dining room, so I can have a larger table to feed more mouths! We pray our home to have an open door to all and will serve God.

The electrolog!

With the temp right now being 16 and the HIGH on Thursday being 8 with more snow and a low of -8, I have turned on the electrolog as my personal Heater. I'm miserably cold up here!!!! I'm dreaming of summer and going to the gym to sweat and stay warm haha!

Biggest loser started tonight, so excited. We love this show!

A new season shall come

We got home today and I have been a busy bee taking Christmas down and setting the new season of winter and spring to come in our home.

We had such a wonderful time during our holiday!!!

I finally changed my fall flowers to these, thanks mom I love it!!!






I got this vase for $12 and am using it as my winter centerpiece.

Happy Engagement/Christmas Party

We had a Christmas and Engagement Celebration for Ali and Rich on Dec. 30th. It was such  good party with great friends, we love hanging out with this group!!!! Meg and Justin were great hostesses to let us in their home and take such good care of everything for us, it was perfect! Our secret santa was fun and then we played a game called Celebrity, where you put a random celebrity name on your forehead and can only ask yes/no questions to try to figure out who you are. Such a great time with wonderful friends, we will have to work hard each year to plan this party as we all live in different places.
