Oh What a Lovely Weekend!!!

This past weekend Jordan and I went to Central Arkansas so I could celebrate my sweet friend, Ellen's wedding that is to come. I went to a shower and bachlorette party for the bride and it was great! We went to the American Idol concert as part of our night and we yelled and screamed like we were all 8 years old, it was a blast!!!!!

Jordan played loads of golf and got to spend time with his buddies as well. I feel like we both are trying to still catch up from our lovely weekend in Little Rock!

We got to spend some great time with his family. I finally ordered my wedding book and am SO excited to get it! It's about a year later but I'll enjoy every moment looking back. I had a blast at my wedding and would do it all again!

(My photos go backwards---oh well)
The girls at the end of our night, ready to head to the room.

We ran in to ALI! One of our dear friends who is in law school at Ole Miss and we don't get to see her a lot.

A life changing book

So, as I said in my last post I'm not a reader, I've always wanted to be but it's hard for me for some reason. BUT this book stole my heart, changed it, taught me, encouraged me and I finished it in 2 days! I encourage everyone to read it. I wish kids in school had this as a book they had to read, I think the world would be a better place.

This book teaches to look at others with God's eyes to love them with a deeper sense of love and to reach out of your comfort zone and allow God to work His wonders through you. Allow God to lead you to people and to work in changing your and their lives. It encourages me to be ok to accept the way that God wants me to love others with an open heart to change lives with His presence in my soul. I'm hear to praise Him and that's so easy to forget in this fast paced world I'm living in. I believe this book taught me to be ok with where I am and to truly look at the faces of those around me and to let down the walls of society's restrictions it seems in how we look at others. I'm challenged to continue to grow in my love for God and in that to grow in my love for all who don't know him. My desires here begin with others spending eternity in the peace of the Living God and that's the purpose I'm here to share this with everyone!

Please read this book and let me know how it changed you, it will!

A New Book...

So my best friend Megan told me of a book that I needed to read. Meg always says I like to encourage and well, this book would offer some life encouragement. I'm not a reader and she knows this, so her input to suggest it to me weighed pretty heavy on me and I went today to Barnes and Noble and got the book. The title is: Same Kind of Different As Me. So I post this blog to state I'm going to try to read and finish a book, I'm hoping this can fill my lunch break, and to ask if you know of any books that have tugged at your heart or taught you something let me know! This has always been something I've wanted to be good at, but unless I feel like I'm learning and being molded a by a book it truly is hard for me to read. Maybe some day I can venture out and finish the Harry Potter Series I started back in High School :)

Anyhow, Jordan and I are doing lovely. We just watched a movie called: OutSource. It's about an American who has to go to a call center in India and train them. Really funny with truths behind ALL behaviors of both Americans and Indians. Jordan is off to play in a softball game and I'm going to read. This weekend is a nice calm weekend for the Wrights and it's great! Maybe some golf, laying out, and we are trying a new church on Sat. night, we've heard about it for awhile and thought we'd give it a go! So we hope you are doing great and ask you pray for Jordan a job, he's searching and working so hard to find work, such a funny thought, but he really is and I'm proud of him! We wish you all lots of blessings!!!

4th of July Weekend!

For the 4th of July weekend Jordan and I got to spend some quality time in Conway. It was great to spend time with family and friends and not be rushed to dart off to some event. I spent time with my mom shopping and piddling like we do and Jordan played 3 rounds of golf I believe. Friday night we went mom and dad, Luke and Brooklyn to the Travelers game, it was my 1st time to be in their new field, it was nice. Sat. we had a BBQ with my parents and played yahtzee as we waited for the fireworks to start that we could see from mom and dad's house. Sunday we got to go to church at New Life and I ran into so many people that I love. It was a refresher for my spirit before heading back to Fayetteville and starting another work week. I hope you all have had a wonderful 4th of July and are as thankful as we are that we live in a nation of such Freedom!

My friend Erin who is having a baby in Nov, I'm so excited!!!
Mom and Me!
We got one of these little hats-Jordan's favorite and a free cow...

Christmas in July

So the other day Jordan got an early graduation present and went and got new, awesome golf clubs-as he says! He has enjoying playing some golf so much this summer and that's what he wanted as completion of college...to come!

So, today he went and sold his old golf clubs and went and bought me MY OWN GOLF CLUBS!!! The clubs and bag are so cute. It was a great day for this gift as we went straight to the driving range. Just as I was starting to get REEEEALLL good, I began to get some blisters. I seem to hold the club like a baseball bat and want to knock the socks off the ball, so I'm learning but it's so fun to do with my hubby! Thanks love!

Just like Christmas...all set up in the living room like Santa had come :)
