Celebrating Asa James Ray!

Last week my dear friend Elizabeth went into the hospital for dehydration. Two days later the doctor decided that Asa needed to be delivered and so on Oct. 28, 2010 around 2:00 Asa was born!!!! He is doing great and getting stronger everyday! Elizabeth is recovering and doing good. They think it will be a month until he can come home, his due dare wasn't until December 26th but doing beautifully!!! Please pray for this family and continual growth over Asa.

What a stud!!!

Yesterday we got off oxygen and is breathing on his own, praise the Lord!

We love this family so much and are so excited to meet Asa. Congrats Joe and Elizabeth!

13.1

This past weekend I was able to run the half marathon in Conway, Ar. with both of my parents and a few friends! My mom and I stayed together or better yet she stayed with me, I was struggling all day with my running for some reason. My dad led the 2 hour and 15 min. pace group and we finished at 2:18, I'm really proud of that. My last race, 5 years ago, was 2:29, I seem to get more fit with age! I do hope that continues!!!

I saw my friend Marietta, Megan Matsuyama and Jonathan Bull who all ran too. I felt good after the run and have just been a bit sore, but not bad. Now I must rejoice over this race yet gear up again for December 4th's Half Marathon for St. Jude's Hospital.

My mom and I coming in to the final stretch, thank you my wonderful photographer Meg! My sweet momma to be, BFF, came out to take photos!!! That meant so much to me.

I'm so proud of my mom!

After the run I had a nice visit with Marietta and Meg before returning home. I was welcomed by the Wright family and my hubby after he sat through two delays in the Arkansas football game. I went to bed at 7:30 and slept till 8:00 the next morning!

The next day we went to church and then I went to celebrate our friends Nathan and Amy Hill"s baby to come, Tucker. And Jordan went to celebrate our friends Justin and Lauren Davis's son, Parker's 1st Birthday!

Me and Chelsea and all the HOTT mommas!!!
Chelsea, Amy, Elizabeth, Kara, Jordan and me :)
(thanks Chelsea for the pic, I stole it off your blog!)

Calm week ahead with Mello going to Doggie Daycare, Loving Choices Banquet, Pilates, Bible Study and a wonderful weekend in Branson with our Community group!

My Momma's Birthday!!!

Today was our beautiful mother's birthday and we all were so lucky because it worked out where we could spend the whole day with her!!! Luke has a flag football tour. up here and so he is staying with us all weekend and my parents came up for a full fun day!

We have watched lots of flag football, watched the Hog game :(, shopped, ate, hung out and spent time with mom. I'm so thankful to have learned so much from this woman about love and family. She edifies what it means to give your all to your family and I'm thankful to have had such a great mother in my life. I and all of us, love her so much and wouldn't be who we are without her influence of love in our life. She has always supported us and given us more than we could ask of her. I just am so thankful to my God who blessed me with this woman for so many years! We love you mom!!!!

Here she is opening all her birthday gifts!
Mom and Dad, he got her handmade in Fayetteville Adirondack Chairs
Mom and her kiddos and grand dog :)
Lots of flag football!
Where we ate Mom's birthday dinner, Hog Haus to-go, delicious!

Dad's favorite thing, supporting Luke in his sports!
Us doing self timer at the end of a fun day. I love this man so much!!!!

We have had very few weekends with us staying in Fayetteville and it has been delightful being home. Jordan is home all next week again, yeah! I'll be heading to Conway on Friday to run the half marathon Sat. and he will work hard, again, to cheer the Hogs to a victory over Ole Miss.

Happy Weekend!!!!

Baby Billings Shower

This past weekend I had the honor of hosting my first baby shower for a dear family to us, Stephen and Sarah Billings. They are expecting their first child, Blakely, in Jan. This weekend was so fun to put together and such a great time with friends! I really enjoyed it all so much!
The banner I made with the letters cut out by Katie at KGD .
The banner on mantle
The blessing table...
I had everyone write a blessing to Blakely in this little book
On my bar area I used baby bottles and placed cards with each Fruit of the Spirit.
Coffee Bar
Cucumber water and delicious punch
The table with pigs in a blanket, sausage/egg casserole, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, and fruit salad.
Cupcake toppers were created by KGD
Shower was held Sat. morning from 11:30-1:00, so we did a brunch theme for food.
Look at this lovely momma!
I love these girls, Amanda Brewer and Pam Nolen
I was spoiled because I got to have Anne and Megan stay the night, such a fun slumber party!!!

How cute are these??? I can't wait to meet this little one!
Sunday I went to Conway and ran a half marathon in training for my race in a couple of weeks. Megan Matsuyama ran with me and my parents and brother, such a fun day with her!

Glad to be home with my hubby!!!
