Parenting by the Book: The Bible

Jordan and I have had the wonderful experience of being in a bible study this semester at our church that is going through this book. We have enjoyed getting to know other families from our church and learn from them. This book is great and has taught us to live life as parents by using the Bible as our source of guidance and boundaries for our family. I'd encourage anyone to read this book no matter what phase of life you are in with your kids!

Cooper turns 7 Months

7 MONTHS!
This past month has been a busy one for us! We have lowered his crib, upgraded his car seat to his big boy seat, eating breakfast and dinner, 2 bottom teeth, and moving all over the floor with crawling insight.
so big in my bed, he loves this place-thank goodness!
 love the zebra
right before he dove off here-awesome mom award, caught in the nick of time
I'm so sneaky getting under this chair

I love my new hiding spot...
Hey Lady get me out already!!!

My memories...
-this month had more bumpy nights, possibly due to eating habits changing or teething
-typically, sleeps till 6, nurses-back down till 7:30. eats breakfast (1 jar) at 8, nurses around 10 then nap. nurses around 12:30-1, then naps, nurses around 3:30, then dinner at 6 (2 jars of food, or 1 jar and cereal-3tbsp and fruit), then nurses before bed.
-size 3 diapers, 6-9, 6-12 clothes or fancier brands 12-18 like mudpie, stage 2 foods
-you like everything I have given you. great at opening mouth, but man we are just messy
-you do great at work with me and with all of our travels so far.
-you love your Elliot Elephant to sleep with, your seahorse to sleep with, and your toys on the floor.
-we use a humidifier and you had your 1st complete snotty nose, poor guy. saline and suction.
-you love baths and splash around all over, i'm still using aveeno and lavender lotion, used highlands teething tablets and gel when your teeth came in

*this list is much shorter than when I 1st had Cooper, it's crazy how normal life is with this addition and how daily items just seem so typical that I'm sure I'm leaving something off.

Lots of Lovin!

*disclaimer, I get so behind on blogging because for some reason I can't blog from my iphone apps? so if you know how to fix this or have had this before, please help! it's the 1st time for me at my computer and I'm catching up. So catch up with us or just fast forward, whatever :)

VALENTINE'S DAY!
Jordan and I spent our 1st evening away from Cooper while his parents watched him and it was fun and exciting! We went to a marriage conference and then ate cupcakes and watched the Nolan Richardson Documentary-love huh?? :) He also spoiled me with a starbucks gift card, he loves!

I have so much love for my family! Being married to a wonderful man has shown me more love and grace than I ever knew possible and has revealed more to me of the depth of God's love for me! He is my shining star and just a wonderful man, gosh I love him! Having Cooper and my crazy amoung of love for him overflows constantly, teaching me yet again of God's love for me as He gave His Son for me! The unconditional love from parents and siblings, humbles me and depicts Christ's love for us and forgiveness of all sins. I'm blessed to have such beautiful love in my life!

Cooper 6 mos stats

We had a delayed 6 month visit to the doctor so it's really a 6 and half check-up. He's growing and is a very healthy boy, I'm beyond thankful for this! God has blessed Cooper with a fun personality and a healthy body that we are grateful for. These days are filled with sitting and grabbing toys, pulling to stand up, and eating away. So fast they change, but I'm loving watching him grow.
He is 90th percentile for height-crazy!
He is 75th percentile for weight
He is 50th percentile for head.

This weekend we are enjoying time at home and taking his 6 month photos with our amazing photographer, Blaire Perry. It's nice to have a slow weekend as often as we travel. My dear friend Marietta, had her boy, Shad, and I'm looking so forward to meeting him next week!

The winter has been so mild, this may be our only pic in a coat.
1st outing to Target as a big boy, meaning no car seat, we went last weekend with my mom in conway.
I love this pic of cooper playing with my dad.
Big boy that can sit and play with his toys all by himself.
 waiting for the doctor yesterday.
