Jordan used one of his gifts from my parents and fried a turkey. It was delicious!

Cooper did so great playing with everyone and staying up, he just crashed every time it was nap time.
The day after Christmas we all went to the Painted Pig and made a frame for Cooper's 1st Christmas. Fun activity to do together.
The Wrights came up after Christmas and hung out which was so fun. They loved on Cooper, cooked yummy food, and helped take down Christmas decor. The house is now all back together and we are looking forward to our Big D trip to the Cotton Bowl!

1st Christmas Recap!

We went down Wednesday after work to central arkansas to begin our Christmas celebration. Here we are at supper on the 23rd. We ate and then carried on our family tradition of watching White Christmas, my favorite Christmas movie!
It's a tradition my grandmother started by giving all the men US coins every year. Here is Cooper with his 1st gift from my mom, who now carries on the tradition, with his 1st set of coins.

lots of playing with Uncle Luke.

We all got dressed up to go to a Christmas Eve service at my parents' church which I love. We sadly had to leave early because our little bomb went off :( We went back to my parents house and fed him his supper before heading to little rock. I thought I'd wait to nurse till we get to little rock and put him to bed from there. Well, Cooper thought otherwise. He screamed all the way to Maumelle, we pull over in the Waffle House parking lot to nurse, change diaper in front seat and head on to the Wright's house. We were laughing so hard and just kept saying, "we are creating memories".
Here we are with my uncle Alvin and aunt Patsy
I love my little brother so much! Great guy!!! I hope Cooper learns so much from him.
Every year we search for the "pickle" on the tree and whoever finds it, wins an extra gift. This year due to us forgetting Christmas Eve morning, we were rushed to get Cooper settled and to little rock so mom hid it right in front and Luke was declared the winner. I'm sure next year Cooper will want his fair share in finding it!
We had such a great time in Conway. We both got to visit with some friends and relax. Next up, Christmas Day Wright Style!

"Our 1st Christmas Morning"

With such a busy week ahead we decided that as our family of 4 :), Mello included, we would have our Christmas morning this morning.
Last night Cooper set out cookies for Santa :)
This morning we got up at 8 and let him see his goodies from Santa and then open a few gifts from us. It was a lot of fun! We ate some cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then got all dressed and headed to church.
Here are some fun photos from our morning:
He received a jumper, a towel, blocks and books from Santa. Even mello received a stocking full of Puperonis and was so happy!

Santa is coming to town!

Friday, Cooper got his chance to meet Santa Claus! He did great just sitting there and looking at him. No crying, just curiosity! We left that afternoon for a wonderful weekend in Branson with our community group. We had so much fun chatting, shopping, playing games and eating!!! Such a great group of friends and I love that we make this trip happen every year!!!

What a Wonderful Holiday Season!

Well, Jordan and I had a wonderful first Christmas together. It really was so much fun to spend time with family and to celebrate with one another. Last Christmas is when Jordan proposed in India and this Christmas we got to spend it together, I'm very thankful. We celebrated in Fayetteville before we went to my parents house Christmas Eve. We started our morning with cinnamon rolls, made by Pat, and gifts. We went to the Christmas Eve service with my parents, which is one of my favorite traditions. Our family got to get up and light the Christ Candle of the Advent Wreath, so that was a special memory. We celebrated Christmas morning at my parents and then went the rest of the day with the Wrights. We met up with the whole Wright clan and later that evening went to see Marley and Me-such a sweet movie. I had a blast with the Jordan's family (I don't have any photos because his mom has them all). It was great to spend time with them. I'm thankful for all the family and friends that I got to see throughout the holiday season. I'm thankful for my husband being in the same place as me and for our families to be healthy, it is really a blessing.

We spent the New Year's with Jordan's family in Little Rock and a group of their dear friends who loved on us so much throughout our wedding season. We played Whoo-nu, which I highly recommend, and rang in the New Year. This was our first New Year's together and I'm thrilled at all the fun that is to come with my husband in 2009! We are now getting ready for our HONEYMOON to HAWAII on Sunday and are so giddy and excited! Love to you all and I know we are blessed by your role in our lives!

My family has started a tradition of "hiding the pickle" in the tree. We have this glass pickle that my parents hide and whoever finds it gets an extra goodie! Well Luke has won the past 2 years and this year the newcomer won, Jordan. So here is Luke passing off the pickle to Jordan. Jordan got a $25 gift card to chick-fil-a, not bad!

My nativity scene, I love it!!!!! It's Willow Tree.

Christmas Time is Near...

Yesterday, Jordan and I decorated for Christmas since we will not be home till Sunday. It was so much fun! We sang to our hearts content some good Christmas music and decorated our home, it was great. It's our first Christmas married and we are going to have a blast. We decorated our kitchen table, the hallway stand, the tv stand, and a beautiful tree that Jordan had surprised me with. We even put a stencil on the wall that says, "merry christmas". Jordan worked so hard to put this above our tv and it looks so good. I'll show more photos of our decor. I also had our first Christmas mess, I was vacuuming the floors when my vacuum fell over to knock over my red aromatique candle all over the floor. We learned that the trick of an iron and paper sack does work, but now I need some good ole carpet cleaner to help with the rest.
Yes, there is my ugly spot...
Here we are, yeah for self-timers...
Me, like a kid in my PJ's, flannel-it's gettin cold outside...
