http://jennieallen.com/blog/its-time-a-new-movement-for-our-generation/

This link will connect you to Jennie Allen's blog and she has announced a conf in Feb for women in the post college years, looking for their vision and being inspired in this season of life. It's something that looks really interesting to me so I wanted to share it! You can also find more details from Kelly of Kelly's Korner. :)

BROOKS IS ONE MONTH OLD!

Brooks turning 1 month old snuck up on me so fast! I can't believe the first month of newborn crazy is over-wow! This little man is calm, chill and a happy camper unless hunger (can't blame him).

He does what newborns are suppose to do: eat, play and sleep. He is so different from Cooper and it's been a fresh of breath of air. I was so stressed about the newborn phase and I have been able to really enjoy it this time.

Little guy is out of newborn clothes, size 1 diapers, probably takes 5ish oz.-but he nurses so well I have only done 1 bottle so far. He goes where we go with no trouble sleeping in his carseat. He has already taken many love taps from his brother as Cooper is still learning the idea of gentle-even though we go over it a 100 times a day! He sleeps anywhere from 3.5 to 5 hours during the night. I'm so ready to lose that middle of the night feeding!! He really is a little charmer and it feels like he has been apart of the family forever.

we have started back having play groups on Thursdays and it's complete chaos but am so thankful for sweet friends who will walk through this time with me.
This weekend Jordan was in a wedding in LR and with our upcoming beach trip I opted out of packing up the boys, so instead Nana and Joe Joe came up here! We ventured to Bentonville on Sat. and went to the Farmer's Market, Crystal Bridges, the splash park and Walmart Museum-it was so much fun and Brooks did awesome. That afternoon we went to Sadie Bell's 1st birthday-she is adorable!

This little monkey turns 2 next month-what?!?!?!?
so we will address the potty training soon. He loves going "pee-pee potty" and here is his face trying to go "poo-poo potty" it didn't work but he is getting the idea. Days he is home I try to see how long I can help him keep his diaper dry by asking him and taking him to the potty. I'm dreading this so much but I do think he is ready when I can find time to do it. He is my handful and so challenging at times these days and yet so much fun! He is learning and growing and it's wonderful. Never a dull moment with him and I just love him to pieces.

BABY BROOKS!!!

BROOKS LUCAS WRIGHT
BORN: MAY 7, 2013  12:48PM
7 LBS. 12 OZ. (1 oz. bigger than Cooper)
21 in. long (the exact same length)

I went in that morning at 4:30 to be induced and Dr. Partridge broke my water at 6:20 and things progressed in a whirlwind fashion from there. I was in such shock at how this whole labor and delivery went considering Cooper took me over 24 hours from when my water broke.

We have enjoyed this little one so much. He is great and doing well at already toughening up against big brother. Cooper loves him so much and gets so concerned when he cries. He looks at me and says, "Crooks cries". yes he calls him Crooks :) He always says, "hold it" and wants to kiss him all the time. Praying constantly for their friendship.

Mother's Day-Uncle Luke and Aunt Brooklyn came to meet Brooks and of course we had lunch at Hog Haus-our favorite!
 1st Bath!

 Fun visit from Aunt KK!!!

Brooks' Nursery

I used the same furniture in the nursery but just gave it a different color scheme and look for it to be Brooks' own spot. It's cozy and turned out just like I was thinking. Cooper loves all the animals and the rocking chair, he sits in it all the time. Still waiting on little guy and so anxious to see what he looks like and to get this journey of 2 little men started! I'm so thankful for my family and am enjoying all these last little moments with just Cooper that I can get :)
HAPPY MAY SNOW DAY FROM UP HERE!

Waiting on Brooks!!

As of last Wednesday I was 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced. So this weekend we have played and played as we wait for him to join our family!

Friday night Chick-fil-a family dinner at home

Sat we went to Rick's for doughnuts and then to Target

So excited about eating a "noughnut" as Cooper calls them

He played ALL day with his Tractor Tipping set.

We went to Sat. Night church-which I love doing and then to Venetian Inn. It's a myth of sorts around here to eat there and it will start labor-hasn't worked.

Today we played outside all morning and then went to Crystal Bridges to see the Norman Rockwell exhibit. We ate at Crepes Paulette-yum! Walked to the museum trying to get Brooks out! Cooper did so good during the exhibit for us to enjoy it!

Now we are enjoying Downton Abbey and playing with Coop after nap time. Back to the doctor tomorrow-just waiting at this point :)
